Connection: The capitol city of San Jose is home to the
Vineyard church led by Pastor Carlos Chacon who has a long standing
relationship to the Zacatecas, Mexico Vineyard, where we also serve.
We have been invited to help a developing church plant grow and reach
a local community. In the coastal city of Jaco a long-time friend
and missionary, Daniel Barrett serves as an additional contact. In
some cases there may be an opportunity to serve in a project with
their church as well.
Mission Goals: Sharing the saving message of Christ in
word and with deeds that reaffirm that message. We look for opportunity
in 1) Creative Evangelistic events called outreaches 2) Ministry to
children and youth 3) Fellowship with the local church 4) Building
leadership in our unit for future action and the 6) exploration of
future mission opportunities.
Christian Youth and Adults are invited with your leaders
recommendation. We believe this will be a great blend of Gods
gifts through the church and an impartation of blessing and heritage
to one another.
Our first group leaves July 15-22, 2014 (additional groups may pick
the following weeks of July)
You Pray and Plan: We believe that the best trips and opportunities
are those lead by God, so please pray about the opportunity. Understand
that this is a chance to serve, it requires faith with action, and
it will cost you something. If you are inclined to join then pray
and plan ahead. Ask your church to pray blessing on the endeavor and
you may even ask if they would be willing to match your deposit of
$100 on sign-up. You will need to save money (possibly work extra).
You may write a personal support-raising letter directing funds to
your church or our ministry for safe holding. You may also want to
organize one or two mission fund raisers in your church or community.
Remember, if God compels you to go, trust Him to provide the means
and seek counsel from one of your leaders.
